The 9^th edition of the Golden Lady Trophy takes place 21 and 22 September 2024

Saturday 21 September : Amateur competitions for Solo dancers and couples - Open to the World to All dancers from any federation.

Sunday 22 September : Camp - LATIN + STANDARD lectures & private lessons

Registration & participation fees

Solo: 20 euros - first competition / 10 euros for each other.

Couples: 40 euros - first competition / 10 euros for each other.

The Venue

Sports Hall of Lycée Ermesinde in Mersch - 45, rue de la Gare - 7590 Mersch (5 min. walk from train station Mersch)

Mersch is easily reachable by free of charge public transport: 15 - 25 min. by train from Luxembourg city train station / +- 40-60 min. from airport or 20 min. by car from Luxembourg city.

 

Competition rules

The competition will be organised following the rules of the Luxembourg Dance Organisation (LDO) (Text in french)

Dress rules for Juveniles will follow the Costume rules of WDO, defined in art. 25 and 26 of the respective rules which can be found on the website of WDO

Programme of the Golden Lady Trophy 2024

The competition will start at around 12 am.

All rounds of Pre-Amateur (D class) and Amateur (C,B class), as well as all rounds of Masterclass until SemiFinal will be danced in the Afternoon session, which ends at around 6pm.

All Masterclass Finals will be danced in a glamorous Gala evening session with light show and various artistic performances included in the programme.

 

The Golden Lady Camp - Sunday 22nd September

Latin Workshop with Olga Urumova (1 hour) - Back to Basic to become a champion

Ballroom Workshop with Simone Segatori & Annette Sudol (1 hour)

The workshops will take place on Sunday morning (same venue than the competition). The workshop costs 25 euros/participant, and can be booked during registration via flymark.

Private lessons with Olga Urumova (Latin) and Annette Sudol & Simone Segatori (Ballroom) can be booked and will take place throughout the day on Sunday 22nd September. Please send an email to dancesport(at)dancesport.lu for further information and for booking. Private lessons will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

- The partner hotel of the Golden Lady Trophy is Hotel Martha (5 min. walk from competition venue).

Rooms are blocked until 15th of July for participants of the Golden Lady. Contact the hotel directly by email info(at)gudd.lu and use the code "Dancesport" for booking your room(s) (price 121euro for single room - 156euro for double room - breakfast included).

Hotels which can be found in and around Luxembourg city are 25 to 35 min. by car to Mersch to the competition venue.

Catering offer during the competition day

During the day the SeeFood company from Lycée Ermesinde Mersch will serve in their Café Gëlle Fra (=Golden Lady) a variety of salted snacks, home-baked Patisserie cakes... Their baristas will be delighted to serve their various coffee specialities, as well as different other hot and cold drinks.

During the evening session SeeFood company will prepare a delicious cold plate with several, mainly local, fish, meat and vegetable delights. All competitors from any competition will be admitted without any further fee to the Gala evening session. The cold plate can be purchased by competitiors in advance for 20euros per person.

It is highly recommended to pre-book, as only a limited number of meals might remain available without previous pre-booking.
